Job Location: Gurgaon/ Bangalore Role Overview We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer (SDE III / Lead) to design, build, and scale cloud-native infrastructure and platform systems. You will play a key role in improving developer productivity, system reliability, and deployment velocity across our engineering organization. This role requires deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and modern platform engineering practices. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on AWS • Architect and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS or self-managed) for large-scale production workloads • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ArgoCD, and GitOps principles • Drive infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation • Implement robust observability systems using Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, Coralogix, etc. • Ensure high system reliability, performance, and cost efficiency • Automate operational workflows, deployments, and incident response processes • Lead production incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and postmortems • Collaborate with development teams to improve system design, performance, and release processes • Define and enforce best practices for security, scalability, and reliability (SRE principles) • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to platform engineering strategy Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years (SDE III) / 8+ years (SDE IV) of experience in DevOps / SRE / Platform Engineering • Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, etc.) • Deep expertise in Kubernetes (networking, scaling, debugging, internals preferred) • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, etc. • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) • Strong understanding of observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, Coralogix) • Experience with containerization (Docker) and microservices architecture • Solid Linux fundamentals and troubleshooting skills • Programming/scripting skills (Python, Go, Bash, or similar) • Experience with monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems • Strong understanding of networking, security, and distributed systems Preferred Qualification • Experience with AI-powered DevOps / AIOps tools (e.g., anomaly detection, automated RCA, intelligent alerting) • Familiarity with LLM-based tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, internal AI assistants for DevOps workflows) • Experience building or integrating AI-driven observability or automation systems • Exposure to eBPF-based observability or advanced performance tooling • Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments • Contributions to open-source projects or internal platform tooling What We Value • Strong ownership mindset and bias for action • Ability to work in high-scale, high-availability environments • Passion for automation and eliminating toil • Systems thinking and problem-solving approach • Clear communication and collaboration skills • Nice-to-Have (Differentiators for SDE IV) • Experience leading platform or DevOps teams • Proven track record of scaling infrastructure for high-traffic systems • Experience designing internal developer platforms (IDP) • Deep expertise in cost optimization and capacity planning • Strong understanding of Kubernetes internals and cloud architecture patterns Impact You Will Make • Improve deployment frequency and reduce lead time for changes • Increase system uptime and reliability • Reduce operational overhead through automation • Enable faster and safer product innovation The Team 22 roles Technology Technology is at the heart of everything we do in Flutter International.
