1. Overview

This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds, cancellations, and returns for services purchased on Require Hire ("Platform"), operated by Veridant AI Private Limited.

This policy complies with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and applicable e-commerce regulations in India.

2. Free Services (Candidates/Students)

Important: All candidate-facing features are FREE. No payment is required from candidates/students for:
  • AI Interview Practice
  • CV Checker Pro
  • Resume Builder
  • AI Cover Letter Generator
  • Job Search and Applications

Since these services are free, no refund policy applies.

3. Paid Services (Organizations/Employers)

Refund eligibility applies to our B2B subscription plans:

4. Refund Eligibility Conditions

4.1 Eligible for Full Refund
  • Cancellation within 30 days of first payment (cooling-off period)
  • Technical issues preventing service access for more than 48 hours
  • Duplicate charges or payment errors
  • Service not delivered as described
  • Account approved but subscription not activated
4.2 Eligible for Prorated Refund
  • Cancellation after 30 days but before billing cycle ends
  • Service downgrade mid-cycle
  • Partial service delivery issues
4.3 Not Eligible for Refund
  • Account termination due to policy violations
  • Voluntary cancellation after using significant platform features
  • Requests made after 90 days from purchase
  • Custom development or consultation services once delivered

5. How to Request a Refund

Step-by-Step Refund Process
  1. Email Request: Send refund request to refunds@requirehire.com
  2. Subject Line: "Refund Request - [Your Order ID]"
  3. Include:
    • Order ID / Transaction Reference
    • Date of purchase
    • Reason for refund
    • Registered email address
  4. Acknowledgment: We will acknowledge your request within 24 hours
  5. Processing: Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days

7. Subscription Cancellation

7.1 How to Cancel
  • Login to your account dashboard
  • Navigate to Settings → Subscription
  • Click "Cancel Subscription"
  • Or email support@requirehire.com
7.2 What Happens After Cancellation
  • You retain access until the end of your current billing period
  • No further charges will be made
  • Data is retained for 30 days, then deleted (unless legally required)
  • You can reactivate anytime within 30 days

8. Dispute Resolution

If you are unsatisfied with our refund decision:

  1. Internal Appeal: Email escalations@requirehire.com within 7 days
  2. Grievance Officer: Contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@requirehire.com
  3. Consumer Forum: You may approach the appropriate Consumer Forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019
