SRE/DevOps Engineer

• *Role & responsibilities** • Design and implement site recovery solutions using cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices. • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure applications and services are built with high availability and disaster recovery in mind. • Utilize your expertise in Java, MySQL, and PHP to develop efficient and reliable site recovery processes. • Leverage your knowledge of Azure/AWS to design and manage cloud-based site recovery solutions. • Implement and maintain site recovery pipelines using Azure DevOps/Jenkins for seamless and automated recovery processes. • Utilize Docker/Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration in site recovery scenarios. • Develop and maintain Shell Scripting to automate site recovery tasks and deployments. • Use Terraform for managing infrastructure as code to support site recovery deployments. • Implement Ansible for configuration management and streamlined recovery processes. • Monitor and test site recovery processes to ensure their effectiveness and reliability. • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure disaster recovery drills and tests are conducted regularly. • Troubleshoot and resolve site recovery issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss. • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in site recovery technologies and industry trends. • *Preferred candidate profile** • Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience. • 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer(SRE) or similar role. • Extensive experience with Java, MySQL, and PHP for building and maintaining critical applications. • Proficiency in both Azure and AWS cloud environments for site recovery implementations. • Strong expertise in Azure DevOps/Jenkins for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD). • In-depth knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration in site recovery strategies. • Proven experience with Shell Scripting for automation and scripting in recovery processes. • Solid understanding of Terraform for managing infrastructure as code in a multi-cloud environment. • Familiarity with Ansible for configuration management and streamlined recovery procedures. • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex site recovery issues. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment. • Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers in site recovery practices and methodologies.
