Finance Controller (NBFC / Fintech / EV Financing)

Job Title - Finance Controller Experience - 8+ Years Location - Gurugram Role Overview: We are looking for a Finance Controller to lead financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning within the fast-growing green finance and asset management ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial management, regulatory compliance, and asset financing, driving financial efficiency and reporting. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee all aspects of financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and climate finance policies. • Lead financial audits, liaising with auditors and regulatory bodies. • Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks, particularly in asset-backed lending and leasing. • Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions with a focus on vehicle financing and leasing. • Provide strategic financial insights to leadership, supporting business growth and capital allocation. • Optimize financial processes, integrating fintech innovations and digital finance solutions. • Supervise and mentor the finance team, ensuring alignment with the company’s sustainability and climate finance goals. Key Metrics: • Accuracy and timeliness of financial reports and audits. • Compliance with regulatory and climate finance requirements. • Efficiency in cash flow and asset-backed lending / leasing management. • Effectiveness of risk mitigation and financial controls. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Education: CA / CPA / CFA / MBA in Finance. • Experience: 8+ years in financial management, preferably in NBFC, fintech, financing/leasing. • Strong understanding of GAAP / IFRS, taxation, and financial regulations. • Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting for asset-backed financing. • Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills. • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Preferred Experience: • Experience in green finance, EV financing, asset leasing, or climate tech investments. • Knowledge of M&A, investment strategies, and fundraising. • Experience in working with international financial regulations related to climate technology and sustainability funding.
