As an Accounting Specialist at Meditab, you will be a vital part of the finance team, focusing on ensuring accurate financial transactions and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Your primary responsibilities will include: - Invoice Processing: Accurately review, code, and process a high volume of invoices, ensuring proper documentation and authorization. - Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with vendors, addressing any inquiries or discrepancies in a timely manner. - Payment Processing: Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. - Expense Reporting: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and GAAP. - Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable transactions, vendor statements, and bank statements. - Month-End Close: Assist in ensuring all accounts payable activities are accurately recorded and reconciled during the month-end close process. - Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for audit purposes and ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and GAAP standards. - Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the accounts payable process. - Communication: Collaborate effectively with the US-based finance team and other departments to resolve any accounts payable issues. - Reporting: Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports to support management decision-making processes. For this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. - Experience: 3+ years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in a SaaS, service, or technology company. Understanding of GAAP and its application in accounting processes. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks and ERP systems. Experience with platforms commonly used in SaaS companies is preferred.
